Welcome to St Andrew's

We are federated with 5 other small village infant schools - Sherington C.E. Infant School, Emberton Infant School, Stoke Goldington C.E. Infant School, Newton Blossomville C.E. Infant School and North Crawley C.E. Infant School. . This means we work closely sharing our vision and values across both sites and this enriches what we offer all of our children.

Welcome back after the summer holidays or welcome if you are new to the school.

I hope you managed to enjoy your family time over the past six weeks and that the children are all ready for their new term at school. As ever the Autumn term is a busy term at St Andrews and there will be lots of events that you will be invited to over the coming months, so please look out for letters in book bags and posts on facebook.

Can I make a new school plea that all children’s uniform and PE kit are fully named from the start so that we can match any lost property up with the correct children. Also that each child has a book bag which will enable them to bring home reading books, letters and work safely. If you can read with your child each night, if only for five minutes it can really support their learning.

It is my pleasure to be returning to be the head for another term of the school and I, the staff and Governors want all your children to achieve the best they can while they are with us here at St Andrews. So I look forward to working with you all once again.

Best wishes

Mrs J Orbell

School uniform is available from www.schooltrends.co.uk on a non-profit basis you can also buy the items without the school logo at all major supermarkets.

We ask you to ensure all items of school clothing and footwear are clearly marked with your child’s name.

PE and games kits should be in a suitable named bag.  The children can keep their PE bag in school on their cloakroom peg.

In the very cold weather we ask that the children wear tracksuit bottoms for PE outside.

Lost property – a central collection of lost property is kept in school.

For Health and Safety reasons we ask that children DO NOT wear jewellery for school.  Children are not allowed to wear ear-rings for their P.E. lessons – they must be removed or covered with a plaster.

Thank you for your support in this matter.
